National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts to Showcase Live ‘La Traviata’ Performances

The National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts in Taiwan is set to present live performances of Verdi’s “La Traviata.”

Li-ching Huang and Li Keng will alternate as Violetta with Claude Lin and Seung-jin Choi taking on the role of Alfredo.

Baritones Martin Ng and Yu-hsi Wu-Bai will share the role of Germont. Other cast members include Jo-pei Weng as Flora, Chueh-yu Lai as Annina, Yinchi Chang as Gastone, Rios Li as Barone, Ming-mou Hsieh as the Marchese, Ta-jen Lee as the Dottore, and Yin-chi Chang as Giuseppe.

The opera will be conducted by Wen-pin Chien with Shih-ping Yang directing the production.

The production will open on March 18, 2021 and run for four performances through March 21, 2021 and was produced in partnership with the Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival.
