National Centre for the Performing Arts to Present ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’

The National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing is set to present “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

The Mozart opera, which opens on July 15 and runs through the 20th, will feature an international cast starring Markus Paul Werba, Benedetta Torre, Alessandro Luongo, Mariya Mudryak, and Miriam Albano, as well as a local cast of Chinese singers starring Zhang Xiaomeng, Zhang Meigui, Zhang Yang, Zhou Xiaolin, and Zhang Yajie.

Lü Jia will conduct the production by Jose Luis Castro.

This production premiered at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in August 2013. The July 19 showcase will be live streamed, representing the first time that the company ever streams an opera.
