The New Philharmonic will close out its 2022-23 season with “Broadway in Concert: South Pacific” starring baritone Nathan Gunn, Anna Harada, and soprano Katelyn Lee.

Rogers and Hammerstein’s musical will be played by the 41-member orchestra led by Kirk Muspratt. Gunn will sing the role of Emile, Harada as Bloody Mary, and Lee as Ensign Nellie Forbush. Key dialogue and hit songs will be performed in this adapted concert version.

“South Pacific” will take place at the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage on April 15 at 7:30 pm and on April 16 at 3 pm. Muspratt and select members of the cast, chorus, and orchestra will give a talkback following each performance.
