Nathan Felix’s Coco Chanel Opera to Get Premiere This October

Nathan Felix’s new opera “No. 5” is set to premiere on Oct. 1, 2022 at Timucua in Orlando, Florida.

The 70-minute opera focuses on the life of Coco Chanel and stars Molly Ann Anders as the younger Coco and Claire Hodge as the older iteration of the fashion icon.

Other cast members include Jacob Pense, Sarah Purser, and Madison Marie McIntosh. Joshua Segovia is the scenographer with Laurenna Roma as the stage manager. Ethan Lolley conducts an ensemble that features Lisa Ferrigno (violin), Andreas Volmer (violin), Jean Marie Glazer (cello), Crystal Fuentes (piano), and Ariel Hudak.

The opera will be presented as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Felix is the composer of such works as “Alien Wanderers: Alien World: Alien Homem” “Öcalan,” and “Ribas-Dominicci.” His works have been performed all around the world in such countries as Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Japan, China, Sweden, Denmark, Mongolia and the United States.
