
Natalya Romaniw, Francesca Aspromonte, Rachel Willis-Sørensen, Liv Redpath & David Portillo Headline Glyndebourne’s 2026 Season

New Productions
Puccini’s “Tosca” will be directed by Ted Huffman with two casts.
Robin Ticciati conducts the first run with a cast that includes Caitlin Gotimer as Floria Tosca, Matteo Lippi as Mario Cavaradossi, and Vladislav Sulimsky as Baron Scarpia. Jordan de Souza conducts the second cast that includes Natalya Romaniw as Floria Tosca, Atalla Ayan as Mario Cavaradossi, and Alfred Walker as Baron Scarpia.
Performance Dates: May 21-June 22, 2026 & August 4-30, 2026
Claudio Monteverdi’s “L’Orfeo” will be directed by William Kentridge and will feature Jonathan Cohen conducting the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. The cast will include Krystian Adam as Orfeo, Francesca Aspromonte as La Musica/Euridice, Leia Lensing as Proserpina, Callum Thorpe as Caronte and Davide Giangregorio as Plutone.

Richard Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos” will receive a new production by Laurent Pelly. Robin Ticciati conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra with a cast that includes Rachel Willis-Sørensen as Ariadne, David Butt Philip as Bacchus and Alina Wunderlin as Zerbinetta.

Revivals
Rossini’s “Il turco in Italia” will be conducted by Vincenzo Milletarì and will star Rodion Pogossov as Don Geronio, David Portillo as Narciso, Elena Villalón as Fiorilla, Péter Kálmán as Selim, and Anle Gou as Albazar.

Britten’s “Billy Budd” will be performed in a revival of Michael Grandage’s production. The cast will include Thomas Mole as Billy Budd, Allan Clayton as Captain Vere, and Sam Carl as John Claggart, and Nicholas Carter will conduct the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
