Nadine Sierra, Thomas Hampson & Michael Fabiano Among Ravinia Festival’s 2018 Lineup

Going into its 114th year, the Ravinia Festival brings together artists from all over the world to perform in the longest-running music festival in America.

Here are some of the highlights of Ravinia Festival’s 2018 season:

Soprano Jeanine De Bique: BGH Classics Series

The program will include selections from Mozart, Strauss, and Wolf. De Bique will also perform a number of Spiritual and Folk songs from Trinidad and Tobago.

Performance Date: March 24, 2018- 8:30 PM

Apollo’s Fire: A Night at Bach’s Coffeehouse

The program includes selections from “Don Quichotte” Suite, and Bach’s Polonaise, Menuet, and Badinerie from Orchestral Suite No. 2

Performance Date: June 26, 2018- 7:30 PM

Chicago Symphony Orchestra: “Tchaikovsky Spectacular”

Boasting an all-Tchaikovsky program, the performance will feature the Entr’acte, Waltz, and Polonaise from “Eugene Onegin,” and the “1812” Overture (with cannons)

Performance Dates: July 22, 2018- 5:00 PM

Chicago Symphony Orchestra: Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”

July 24, 2018 – 8:00 PM

Featuring Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” as well as Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring”

Thomas Hampson and Luca Pisaroni: “No Tenors Allowed”

The program will feature favorite bass and baritone arias as well as duets.

Performance Date: August 7, 2018- 7:30 PM

Bernstein and Friends

Nadine Sierra and Michael Fabiano celebrate Leonard Bernstein’s centennial with some of his most popular songs and arias.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra: “Italian Opera Favorites”

An evening of Rossini, with the overtures of “The Barber of Seville,” “Semiramide,” and “William Tell;” and Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” featuring Matthew Polenzani and Nadine Sierra.

Performance Date: August 11, 2018- 7:30 PM

Frederica Von Stade and Dawn Upshaw will also present recitals featuring hits from the America songbook.
