The Young People’s Chorus of New York has unveiled its 2019 holiday festival schedule.

For opera lovers, the main event will undoubtedly be the concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 when the ensemble will present its annual “Winter Wonder: A Festival Holiday Concert.” The showcase will take place at the David Geffen Hall this season and will feature soprano Nadine Sierra and baritone Lester Lynch. Young People’s Chorus of NY Founder / Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez and Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Núñez lead the performance with choreography by Jacquelyn Bird.

Sierra is currently performing as Susanna in “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the Metropolitan Opera. Lester Lynch is set for performances of “Porgy and Bess,” “Simon Boccanegra,” and “Macbeth” in early 2020.

The ensemble will also perform in the Saks Fifth Avenue’s Holiday Window Unveiling, before appearing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade alongside singer Idina Menzel. It will also perform at the Clement Clark Moore Candelight Service and Celebration and at the 40th Annual “A City Singing At Christmas” celebration. There will also be a stop at NBC’s Hoda & Jenna show on Christmas day.
