My Opera Player to Present ‘Otello’ with Brian Jagde & Asmik Grigorian

On Sept. 25, the Teatro Real is set to stream Verdi’s “Otello” mon My Opera Player.

The opera will star Brian Jagde in his role debut as Otello alongside Asmik Grigorian as Desdemona and Gabriele Viviani as Iago. Nicola Luisotti will conduct the production by David Alden.

The cast will be rounded out by Airam Hernández, Albert Casals, In Sung Sim, Fernando Radó, and Enkelejda Shkoza.

“Otello” is set to open on Sept. 19 and will also feature a second cast starring Jorge de Leon, Maria Agresta Vladimir Stoyanov, and Franco Vassallo.

The opera will run through Oct. 6, 2025.
