
Musica Viva NY Choir Unveils 2026-27 Season

The 2026-27 season for Musica Viva NY Choir is announced.
The season opens with the choir’s “Rising Stars” concert which brings together artists from the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and Teatro Real’s Crescendo Program.
Performance Date: Sept. 27, 2026
Musica Viva NY then gives the world premiere of its most recent commission, “The Radiant” by Richard Einhorn. The concert also features pieces by James MacMillan, Eric Whitacre, and Arvo Pärt.
Performance Date: Dec. 6, 2026
Soprano Gilda Lyons joins the choir in “The Sacred Veil” concert featuring works by John Tavener, Eric Whitacre, and John Williams.
Performance Date: March 7, 2027
Closing out the season is George Crumb’s “The River of Life” and Carl Orff’s “Catulli Carmina.”
Performance Date: May 16, 2027
