Montréal To Premiere Jonathan Dawe’s ‘Nero and the Fall of Lehman Brothers’

BOP | Ballet-Opéra-Pantomime is thrilled to present the Montreal premiere of the opera “Nero and The Fall of Lehman Brothers” from June 14 to 17.
Composed by American composer Jonathan Dawe and premiered in New York in December 2016, the opera will bring together twenty-five young Canadian and American instrumental performers and singers. 
Maxime Genoishas directed various short films which have been screened at the Montreal World Film Festival, as well as Cannes.

Jonathan Dawe written four operas and is a professor at the Juilliard School. He has received commissions for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the American Composers Orchestra, and the Brentano Quartet, amongst others.

“Nero and The Fall of Lehman Brothers” will be presented at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 14Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16, as well as at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17. The performances will take place in Église Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Rosaire’s Guillet Hall
