
Monteverdi Festival Reveals 2025 Slate
By David SalazarThe Monteverdi Festival has announced its 2025 edition.
First up is “Madrigali allo Specchio,” featuring music by Monteverdi, Stradella, and Marini. Antonio Greco conducts the Soloists and Orchestra Monteverdi Festival – Cremona Antiqua. The showcase is presented in collaovration with the Trame Sonore and Chamber Music Festival in Mantua.

Next up is “Vespro della Beata Vergine” with Jordi Savall leading La Capella Reial de Catalunya and Le Concert des Nations.

Davide Livermore, Michele Pasotti, and Alberto Mattioli lead a discussion “L’Opera si rivela,” in preparation of the performances of “Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria.”

“Orfeo 2.0: A Barock Opera” will star Enea Sorini, Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli, Federico Sacchi, Vittoria Magnarello, and Jorge Juan Morata. Massimiliano Toni conducts La Tera Prattica and L’Arte del Mondo Barockorchester.
