The Shakespeare Opera Theatre is set to present Verdi’s “Macbeth.”

Baritone JP Gorski and soprano Monica Niemi perform the leading roles of Macbeth, and Lady Macbeth, respectively. The cast is rounded out by mezzo-soprano Alexandra Olsson as Young Siward, soprano Demi Vander Werff as Lady in Waiting, and Justin Meyer as Seyton.

Leading up to the performances, Eric Minton and Dr. Lori Lind will provide an educational accompaniment to the mix.  The two scholars will present “The Macbeth Code: Lecture and Discussion” on July 8, at 7 p.m.

Performances of “Macbeth” take place July 12 through the 21st.
