Mission Opera to Showcase ‘The 13 Clocks’

By David Salazar

LA-based Mission Opera is set to present “The 13 Clocks” on June 10 & 11, 2022.

The work, composed by David Avshalamov, tells the story of a mysterious prince who goes on a mission to rescue a princess from an evil Duke who stole her as a baby.

The performance will feature a live orchestra and stars Gabriel Manro, Chris Hunter, Ben Lowe, Tiffany Ho, Phil Meyer, and Megan Gillespie, among others.

The work will be directed by Mission Opera’s artistic director Dr. Joshua Wentz and will include animation and multimedia design by Aaron Ball of Command VirFormance.

“This show is a wonderful treat for families with children of all ages,” Ball said on the company’s official event page. “Even though it’s a little dark, it truly is a classic fairy-tale for the ages.” The performance is 2 hours and 10 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.
