Miller Theatre to Present Stile Antico this February

Columbia University’s Miller Theatre is set to present Stile Antico on on February 19,  2022.

The ensemble will present a program of sacred music by such composers as Allegri, Byrd, de Lassus, Monteverdi, Muhly, Sheppard, Tallis, and Taverner, among many others.

“We look forward to welcoming Stile Antico back to our Early Music series and onstage at Miller Theatre for the first time. They will share a thoughtful, contemplative, and joyful program, for which we will create beautiful theatrical lighting to reflect the journey they trace from dusk to dawn,” said Melissa Smey, Executive Director of Miller Theater in an official press statement.

Stile Antico is based in London and has performed at the world’s most famous festivals and have also toured the United States extensively in a series of concerts spanning 25 states, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, among many other locations.

The event will last 75 minutes and to attend, compliance with all biosecurity measures against COVID-19 and the use of disposable KN95 or KF94 masks will be required.

The Miller Theater is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, the Howard Gilman Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
