By David Salazar

92Y will present several unique talks throughout the fall and winter seasons.

Among these will be a conversation between WQXR announcer Naomi Lewin and three tenors including Miles Mykanen, Andrew Stenson, and Levy Sekgapane. The conversation will focus on what it takes to perform at the greatest opera houses in the world, the current state of the art form, and how to hit the high notes on and off stage.

The conversation, entitled “Hitting the High Nites: Behind the Scenes With a New Generation of Tenors” will take place on Monday, Nov. 9 starting at 1 p.m. ET.

Additionally, the 92Y will also host a similar conversation on Wednesday, Oct. 21 entitled “Tales From the Front Stand: Conversations with Orchestra Principals.” Lewin will speak with David Bilger, Principal Trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra; Pedro Díaz, English horn of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra; Stefani Matsuo, Concertmaster of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; and Demarre McGill, Principal Flute of the Seattle Symphony.

The organization will also host an online class on Mozart’s 41st Symphony, a conversation with Orchestra principals and another on Black Composers.
