Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra Announces Spring Fundraising Event

By Francisco Salazar

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony has announced its spring fundraising event, “Fine Living 2021,” an online auction.

The reimagined fundraiser will take the place of the company’s traditional Spring Gala, a major fundraising event, which cannot be held this year because of restrictions on large public gatherings due to COVID-19.

The auction is offering such items as an assortment of European wines, a picnic basket, original paintings, and photos, as well as private recitals from the orchestra’s musicians. The orchestra is also auctioning a private recital with bass-baritone Kevin Short.

The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra is one of the few arts organizations able to perform during the pandemic and complete its 2020-21 season following strict guidelines. The orchestra’s mission is to inspire, enrich, educate, and entertain a diverse audience of all ages through unique live musical performances and to engage students in the world of Classical Music through its Outreach Programs.
