Pocket Opera has announced its 2022 season.

The season will open with “The Merry Widow” starring Jennifer Ashworth and Orson Van Gay.

Performance Dates:  March 27 – April 10, 2022

Next up is Wagner’s rarely performed “Das Liebesverbot.” The opera will star soprano Leslie Sandefur and Patrick Hagen. Nicolas A. Garcia directs with Jonathan Khuner conducts.

Performance Date: May 15 – 29, 2022

Next up is Offenbach’s “The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein.” The opera will star Nika Printz and Chad Somers. Frank Johnson conducts with Bethanie Baeyen directing. 

Performance Date: June 12-26, 2022

Michelle Drever, Sergio Gonzalez, and Igor Vieria star in “La Traviata.” The co-production with Cinnabar Theater and the Mendocino Music Festival will be directed by Elly Lichenstein and conducted by Mary Chun.

Performance Date: July 10-24, 2022

Pocket Opera will also produce a half-hour, animated / live-action “Magic Flute” set in Africa.
