The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to present Verdi’s “Luisa Miller.”

The opera will be showcased between Feb. 8 and 17 in a production by Damiano Michieletto under the baton of the company’s new Music Director Michele Mariotti. It will be the second time the conductor takes on Verdi’s opera after leading the work in a streamed concert version that was aired on YouTube back in 2021.

“Luisa Miller” will star Michele Pertusi as Conte di Walter, Antonio Poli as Rodolfo, Daniela Barcellona as Federica, and Roberta Mantegna in the title role. All four singers performed in the 2021 streamed version and will be joined by Marco Spotti as Wurm and Amartuvshin Enkhbat as Miller.

The opening performance of the opera on Feb. 8 will broadcast on Rai Radio 3.
