Fisher Center’s digital platform has announced its latest offerings for the remainder of July and throughout August.

The company will present a 2012 production of “Le Roi Malgré Lui” by Chabrier. Leon Botstein conducts a production directed by Thaddesu Strassberg. The opera features Liam Bonner, Michele Angelini, Andriana Chuchman, Nathalie Paulin, Frédéric Goncalves, and Jeffrey Mattsey, among others.

Streaming Date: July 22, 2020

The 2017 production of “Dimitrijj” is the next to be presented. Directed by Anne Bogart and conducted by Botstein, the opera stars Clay Hilley, Melissa Citro, Olga Tolkmit, Nora Sourouzian, Peixin Chen, and Joseph Barron, among others.

Of the performance, OperaWire’s review noted, “Bard Summerscape put together a solid cast and production that makes a good case for this opera to be brought to larger houses.”

Streaming Date: August 5, 2020

The company will then present its 2011 production of Strauss’ “Die Liebe der Danae.” Kevin Newbury directed a production conducted by Botstein. Cast members included Meagan Miller, Carsten Wittmoer, Roger Honneywell, Sarah Jane McMahon, Dennis Petersen, and Jud Perry, among others.
