Michael Spyres, Pene Pati, Sabine Devieilhe, Étienne Dupuis & Stéphane Degout Lead Opera Comique’s 2025-26 Season

Opera Comique has announced its 2025-26 season.

Opera 

The season opens with Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” with Michael Spyres, Héloïse Mas, Amina Edris, and Jean-Sébastien Bou. Pierre Dumoussaud conducts the production by Lotte De Beer.

Performance Dates: Sept. 25-Oct. 5, 2025

Gluck’s “Iphigénie en Tauride” will star Tamara Bounazou, Theo Hoffman, Philippe Talbot, Jean-Fernand Setti, Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin, Fanny Soyer, and Lysandre Châlon. Louis Langrée and Théotime Langlois de Swarte conduct the production by Wajdi Mouawad.

Performance Dates: Nov. 2-12, 2025

Pene Pati sings the title role of Massenet’s “Werther” with Marianne Crebassa and Julie Roset. Raphaël Pichon conducts the production by Ted Huffman.

Performance Dates: Jan. 19-29, 2026

Evan Hughes, Marie-Adeline Henry, Jennifer Johnston, Catherine Trottmann, and Julie Robard-Gendre lead Matthias Pintscher & Daniel Arkadij Gerzenberg’s “Nuit sans aube.” Matthias Pintscher conducts the production by James Darrah.

Performance Dates: March 11-17, 2026

Sabine Devieilhe leads Donizetti’s “Lucie de Lammermoor” with Étienne Dupuis, Léo Vermot-Desroches, and Edwin Crossley-Mercer. Speranza Scappucci conducts the production by Evgeny Titov.

Performance Dates: April 30-May 10, 2026

Hans Krása’s “Brundibár” will be conducted by Louis Langrée and directed by Muriel Mayette-Holtz.

Performance Dates: June 3-8, 2026

Concerts

The season opens with a Masterclass with the Académy and Louis Langrée.

Performance Date: Sept. 17, 2025

Stéphane Degout and Cédric Tiberghien lead a recital featuring artists from the Academy of the Opera Comique.

Performance Date: Oct. 9, 2025

There will be a masterclass with Wajdi Mouawad.

Cyrille Dubois and Tristan Raës perform in recital.

Performance Date: Nov. 7, 2025

Cyrille Dubois will give a masterclass.

Stéphanie d’Oustrac and Pascal Jourda team up for a recital.
