The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced that it will live stream Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari and Enrico Golisciani’s intermezzo in one act “Il Segreto di Susanna.”

The showcase will star baritone Michael Nagy and soprano Selene Zanetti. Yoel Gamzou will conduct the production by Axel Ranisch. The presentation will be available for viewing on the STAATSOPER.TV on April 26, 2021 at 8:15 p.m. CET.

The Bayerische Staatsoper is currently closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 concerns in Germany. The opera house has recently canceled several performances in May, and the possible reopening date is highly uncertain due to the complex epidemiological situation. The German federal government has taken control over the pandemic by amending the Infection Protection Act. The new law will enable the federal authorities to impose universal emergency brake throughout the whole territory of the country.

The current 7-day incidence in Munich stands at 148.2.
