Michael Fabiano’s ArtSmart to Launch Online Art Auction

By David Salazar

Tenor Michael Fabiano’s ArtSmart will launch an art auction starting on Nov. 29, 2022 to support the organization’s mission of providing under-resourced communities with tuition-free music lessons and mentorship.

The auction will be online with artists from London to Los Angeles donating works of art to support the mission. There will be works by such artists as Robert Rauschenberg, Steve Winter, and Ran Ortner. Also available will be a rare opportunity to fly with Fabiano, who is also a pilot. There is even a chance to dine with the famed tenor at a Michelin star restaurant.

“Artists, benefactors, and museums, who have donated auction items, are passionate about ArtSmart’s mission. Music saves lives. I am proud of the work we are doing,” Fabiano, who is a co-founder of the organization, said in an official press statement.

Data shows that 92 percent of ArtSmart students plan to attend college, compared to just 71 percent of school students nationwide. Since its founding, ArtSmart has hired mentors who are professionally-trained musicians to work with the young students. The organization has paid over $1,000,000 to mentoring artists.
