Classical Vocal Arts (CVA) International will inaugurate its series with “A Passion For Song,” featuring tenor Michael Fabiano.

The concert, which is set for Dec. 4, 2019 at Merkin Hall in New York will feature music by Duparc, Liszt, Barber, Tchaikovsky, and selections from the American Songbook. Moreover, Fabiano will be accompanied by pianist Kamal Khan as well as members of the tenor’s own ArtSmart program; the concert will be presented as a benefit performance for ArtSmart.

ArtSmart is an organization that provides musical mentorship to students in underserved communities around the United States.

Fabiano is in the midst of a run of “Manon” at the Metropolitan Opera. He will appear in a concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London in early November followed by “Don Carlo” and “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” in Paris. He will also perform “La Traviata,” “Carmen,” and “Don Carlo” in Madrid, Berlin, and London, respectively, as part of his 2019-20 season.
