Michael Fabiano, Nadine Sierra, Thomas Hampson Headline Festival Napa Valley 2020

The Festival Napa Valley has announced its 2020 slate which features a wide range of unique musical performances. For the purpose of this article, we will only focus on vocal performances.

The opening night showcase will be headlined by baritone Thomas Hampson, who will perform “Song of America.” The concert, which will also feature pianist Lara Downes, will trace the development of American song from the 1700s to the present.

Performance Date: July 17, 2020 

Audiences will get a chance to see the world premiere of the opera “Goodbye, Mr. Chips” by composer Gordon Getty. The opera will feature soprano Marnie Breckenridge, tenor Norman Reinhardt, and baritone Lester Lynch with Carolyn Watson conducting.

Performance Date: July 21, 2020

 The festival will present Opera Under the Stars at Meadowood with superstars Nadine Sierra and Michael Fabiano performing alongside the Festival Orchestra Napa and conductor James Conlon, in his festival debut.
