The San Diego Opera has announced its 2026–27 season.

The season begins with the previously announced Southern California premiere of “Fellow Travelers,” by Gregory Spears and Greg Pierce. The cast will include Andy Acosta, Joseph Lattanzi, Amber R. Monroe, and Vanessa Becerra. Kevin Newbury directs and Bruce Stasyna conducts.

Performance Dates: July 10–12, 2026

The season will continue with Verdi’s “Rigoletto” featuring Michael Chioldi, Madison Leonard, Jose Simerilla Romero, Peixin Chen, and Guadalupe Paz. Yves Abel conducts the production.

Performance Dates: October 23–25, 2026

Floyd’s “Susannah” will star Hailey Clark, Teresa Perotta, Greer Grimsley, Joseph Dennis, Christian Sanders, Luretta Bybee, and Richard Paul Fink. Patricia Racette directs and Yves Abel conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 12–14, 2027

Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” closes out the season with Nicholas Newton, Cadie J. Bryan, Sarah Tucker, Dean Murphy, and Lisa Marie Rogali.
