Mezzo.tv to Broadcast Zygmunt Krauze’s ‘Children’s Requiem’
By Francisco SalazarMezzo.tv is set to broadcast Zygmunt Krauze’s “Children’s Requiem” following its world premiere.
The piece will be broadcast on Oct. 25, 28, and 31, 2025, and features the Sinfonia Varsovia, NFM Boys’ Choir, NFM Girls’ Choir, Jacek Kaspszyk, Marcelina Román, and Michał Partyka.
The piece is meant to be a loud voice of protest against the harm and death inflicted on children every day somewhere in the world, and the composer Krauze’ said, “I cannot and will not remain indifferent to the mass killing of children that takes place every day in various parts of the world. I had to compose music that expresses my pain and opposition to the cruelty of modern wars, in which thousands of the most defenceless among us are being annihilated.”
