Mezzo.Tv is set to present “La Traviata” from the Gran Teatre del Liceu on Dec. 31 .

The production by Sir David McVicar will star Kristina Mkhitaryan in the role of Violetta alongside Dimitry Korchak as Alfredo Germont and Giovanni Meoni as Giorgio Germont. Speranza Scapucci will conduct the production.

Mezzo and Les Films Jack Fébus will co-produce the production recording from Dec. 21, 2020.

The broadcast was originally planned for Dec. 28 at 6:45 pm in cinemas in Spain and internationally but was suspended due increased restrictions imposed by governments due to continued concerns and spread of COVID-19.

The Gran Teatre del Liceu will reschedule the big screen presentation in the spring of 2021. Mezzo.TV is also streaming productions of “Rigoletto” and “Aida” from the Gran Teatre del Liceu this week.
