Mezzo TV to Broadcast Angela Gheorghiu’s Turkish Concert

Mezzo TV is set to broadcast Soprano Angela Gheorghiu’s concert from Turkey.

The concert, which was held on Dec. 4, 2020, showcased the soprano at the grand opening of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall in Ankara, Turkey. Mezzo TV will broadcast the concert on Dec. 28, 2020 at 6:35 p.m. CET.

The concert also feature Güher & Süher Pekinel on the piano and the program included Tüzün’s “Turkish Capriccio,” Mozart’s Concerto for two pianos No.10 in E-flat major, K.365/316a, Manav’s “Pluriel,” Handel’s “Lascia ch’io pianga” from “Rinaldo,” Cilea’s “Del sultano amurate… Ecco respiro appena” from “Adriana Lecouvreur,” the famed aria “Habanera” from Bizet’s “Carmen,” De Falla’s “La Vida breve | Danza española,” Ernesto de Curtis’ “Non ti scordar di me,” and “Granada.”

Cemi’i Can Deliorman conducted the Presidential Symphony Orchestra.
