Mezzo Live HD to Stream Opéra de Monte-Carlo’s Production of ‘La Damnation de Faust’

Audiences will get a chance to see the Opéra de Monte-Carlo’s new production of “La Damnation de Faust” on Nov. 19, 2022 via Mezzo Live HD.

The opera will be available to view via medici.tv and stars Pene Pati in the title role, Nicolas Courjal as Méphistophélès, and Aude Extrémo as Marguerite. Other cast members include Frédéric Caton as Brander, and Galia Bakalov as the celestial voice.

The work is directed by Jean-Louis Grinda and conducted by Kazuki Yamada, who leads the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo.

The opera was recorded on Nov. 16, 2022.

Next up for the company is a production of “Alcina” in January, followed by a performance of Rossini’s “Stabat Mater.” That will be followed by performances of “Andrea Chénier,” “La Traviata,” “Le Nozze di Figaro,” “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” and “L’Orfeo.”
