The Metropolitan Opera has announced it willing be marching during the New York City Pride March on June 30, 2024.

The company took to social media and said, “Did you hear the news? We’ll be celebrating Pride Month alongside New York City in this year’s annual Pride March! Keep your eyes peeled for our float, featuring the wonderful voices of soprano Brittany Olivia Logan and bass-baritone Davóne Tines, along with countless Met staff members. See you there!”

The Met has been part of the tradition for the past years and has featured such artists as Anthony Roth Costanzo and Stephanie Blythe in performance. The company is also one of the many in the world that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community. Others include the San Francisco Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, and the Royal Opera House.
