Metropolitan Opera to Host ‘Style Across the Aisle’ Fashion Show

The Metropolitan Opera is set to host “Style Across the Aisle (SATA)” on Sept. 9, 2026.

The famed event will see Google as the presenting partner and will bridging the gap between local fashion design and technology. This year’s event will honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

In a statement, general Manager Peter Gelb, General Manager said, “The Metropolitan Opera is honored to host Style Across the Aisle and celebrate an event that brings together fashion, creativity, and civic engagement in one of New York City’s great cultural spaces. We look forward to hosting this special evening,”

Reggie Thomas, Head of Government Affairs, Google New York added, “Fashion, like technology, is at its best when it serves as a bridge between different perspectives. We are thrilled to support Style Across the Aisle and the incredible local designers who drive New York’s creative economy. By pairing civic leadership with technological tools, we hope to spotlight how innovation can foster both community growth and bipartisan collaboration.”

“Style Across the Aisle” is one of New York Fashion Week’s most anticipated shows and features local elected and appointed officials from across the political spectrum stepping out of legislative chambers to walk the runway. Each elected official is styled in curated looks created by designers from across the city.
