The film will be screened at the Metrograph on Sept. 24 and will include a post-screening discussion with civil rights activist and best-selling author Sister Helen Prejean and filmmaker Tim Robbins. The screening will be held at 3:15 p.m..

Robbins’s 1995 film adaptation of the same name stars Susan Sarandon in her Oscar-winning performance as Sister Helen, a Roman Catholic nun who becomes spiritual advisor to convicted murderer and rapist Matthew Poncelet (Sean Penn).
