Metropolitan Opera Announces Cast Change for ‘La Bohème’

The Metropolitan Opera has announced a cast change for its performance of “La Bohème” on Oct. 13, 2023.

The company said that the role of Colline will be sung by Scott Conner who replaces Christian Van Horn.

Conner made his Met debut as the Police Commissioner inDer Rosenkavalier” in 2017. He has since reprised his role in “Der Rosenkavalier” and performed the Voice of Neptune in “Idomeneo.” Additionally, Conner has performed with the Canadian Opera Company, Santa Fe Opera, Utah Opera, San Diego Opera, and Semperoper Dresden.

Conner joins a cast that includes Federica Lombardi, Matthew Polenzani, Olga Kulchynska, Adam Plachetka, and Sean Michael Plumb. Carlo Rizzi conducts the legendary production by Franco Zeffirelli.
