The Metropolitan Opera has announced its 2024 Summer Recital Series.

The series will celebrate its 15th anniversary and will open on June 18. This year there will be five free outdoor recitals throughout New York City presented in collaboration with Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage.

The first concert will take place at SummerStage in Central Park in Manhattan and will be followed by Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn on June 20. Performing on those evenings are soprano Leah Hawkins, tenor Mario Chang, and bass-baritone Michael Sumuel. Met assistant conductor Dimitri Dover will accompany at the piano.

Rising stars of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program soprano Brittany Olivia Logan, mezzo-soprano Hannah Jones, and tenor Matthew Cairns headline three additional recitals on June 24 at Jackie Robinson Park in Manhattan, June 26, at the Williamsbridge Oval in the Bronx, and June 28, at 7PM in Socrates Sculpture Park, Queens. Deborah Robertson will join the singers at the piano.

The Met’s Summer Recital Series will feature famous opera arias and duets, as well as other classical favorites.
