By Nicolas Quiroga

The Merola Opera Program will present its first virtual charity gala, “Un Gala In Maschera”, as a tribute to Merola’s artistic director, Sheri Greenawald, who spent two decades as Director of the San Francisco Opera Center and Artistic Director of the Merola Opera Program.

The evening concert, scheduled for April 10, 2021, will feature performances by Merola alumni, including sopranos Leah Crocetto and Amber R. Monroe; mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon; tenor Noah Stewart; baritones Joo Won Kang and Efraín Solís; bass-baritone Christian Pursell; and pianist Ronny Michael Greenberg.

“Sheri’s artistic vision has inspired a generation of talented artists and her contribution has been invaluable to the Merola Opera program,” said Gala President Christopher Wiseman in a press release.

Audiences can check out the performance on the Merola Opera Program’s official website.
