Merola Opera Program Announces 2022 Slate

The Merola Opera Program has announced the artists and performances for its 2022 season.

The season kicks off with “A Celebration of American Song” featuring music by Frederick Loewe, Harold Arlen, Leonard Bernstein, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and others.

Performance Dates: July 9, 2022

Schwabacher Summer Concert, which will feature music by such Latin American and Spanish composers as Manuel de Falla, Daniel Catán, among others. Jorge Parodi will conduct while Jose Maria Condemi directs.

Performance Dates: July 14 & 16, 2022

Kelly Kuo will conduct “Die Zauberflöte.” Gina Lapinski directs.

Performance Dates: August 4 & 6, 2022

The season draws to a close with the Merola Grand Finale at the War Memorial Opera House. Patrick Fuerrer conducts and Matthew J. Schultz directs.
