For its final production of the 2022-23 season, Opera Carolina will present Verdi’s “La traviata.”

The famed opera will feature Melinda Whittington as Violetta, Hysung Yu as Germont, and Dominic Armstrong singing the role of Alfredo. Also among the cast members are Ashley West-Davis, Michael Owens, Dan Boye, Ramelle Brooks, John Fortson, and Hannah Hoyt.

The company’s artistic director James Meena will conduct with Sam Mungo directing.

There will be a total of three performances starting on April 20 at 7:30 p.m., followed by April 22 at 8 p.m., and April 23 at 2 p.m. All shows will be housed at the Belk Theater.

The 2022-23 Season included Gerswhin’s “Porgy and Bess” and a production of Puccini’s “Tosca.”
