Medici.TV is set to stream Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut” on April 27 from the Opera de Monte-Carlo.

The new production was directed by Guy Montavon and stars Anna Netrebko in the title role.

The soprano is joined by Claudio Sgura as Lescaut, Yusif Eyvazov as Des Grieux, Alessandro Spina as Geronte di Ravoir, and Luís Gomes as Edmond. Pinchas Steinberg conducts.

The performance run of “Manon Lescaut” marks Netrebko’s first since Feb. 22 when she sang a production of “Aida” at the Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. Since then the soprano has been caught in a media storm for her previous ties to President Putin and withdrew from commitments with such companies as the Metropolitan Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Opernhaus Zurich, Berlin State Opera, and Bayerische Staatsoper.

The soprano last performed the role of “Manon Lescaut” at the Metropolitan Opera in 2016 and has also performed the role at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Salzburg Festival, and Wiener Staatsoper.

Performances of “Manon Lescaut” run through April 30.
