Maya Kherani, Amanda Forsythe & Aaron Sheehan Headline Baroque Streams For Holidays

Boston Baroque and Boston Early Music Festival will stream several baroque pieces for the holidays, including Händel’s celebrated “Messiah.”

First up, soprano Maya Kherani, counter-tenor Christopher Lowrey, tenor Aaron Sheehan, and bass-baritone Kevin Deas perform “Messiah.” Boston Baroque Music Director Martin Pearlman conducts.

The concert was recorded and streamed live on IDAGIO on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 in GBH’s Calderwood Studio, and is available to stream on demand.

Boston Early Music Festival will showcase masterworks from the Italian Baroque by Arcangelo Corelli and Alessandro Stradella. Tenor Aaron Sheehan, baritone Jesse Blumberg, sopranos Teresa Wakim, Amanda Forsythe and Danielle Reutter-Harrah, countertenor Nathan Medley, and bass-baritone Douglas Williams star.

The concert is presented in partnership with GBH and recorded at the GBH Fraser Performance Studio in Boston and hosted by Brian McCreath, of Boston’s 24/7 classical public radio station, CRB Classical 99.5, a part of GBH. The concerts is available as a free stream at IDAGIO’s Global Concert Hall until March 7, 2022.
