Maxim Mironov & Maria Kataeva Lead Teatro di Parma’s ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’

The Teatro Regio di Parma is set to open its 2024 season with Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.”

The company will present the opera from Jan. 12 to Jan. 20, 2024, in a co-production with Fondazione Rossini Opera Festival by Pier Luigi Pizzi.

Diego Ceretta conducts the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and the Coro del Teatro Regio di Parma. The cast will include Maxim Mironov as Conte d’Almaviva, Maria Kataeva as Rosina , Andrzej Filończyk as Figaro, Marco Filippo Romano as Don Bartolo, Roberto Tagliavini as Don Basilio, Elena Zilio as Berta, and William Corrò as Fiorello / Un ufficiale.

The company will present a performance for under 30 on Jan. 7, 2024. There will also be a performance open to the public on Jan. 10 for 5 euros.
