The Park Avenue Armory is set to present a recital featuring tenor Matthew Polenzani and pianist Ken Noda.

The showcase, scheduled for May 20 and 22, 2024, will feature lieder and songs by Schubert, Finzi, Schumann, and Ives. The program opens with five lieder by Schubert before transitioning into Finzi’s “A Young Man’s Exhortation.” Schumann’s “Liederkreis” ensues with another four songs by Ives concluding the performance.

Both presentations kick off at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Following the recitals, the famed American tenor heads to Dortmund to take on the title role of “Werther.” He then has productions of “Madama Butterfly” and “Idomeneo” scheduled in Madrid and Illinois throughout the summer. He concludes his year with a recital at Alice Tully Hall in November.
