Matthew Polenzani, Davóne Tines, Lise Davidsen Headline Vocal Arts DC’s 2020-21 Virtual Season

Vocal Arts DC has announced a new season which will feature filmed recitals presented by artists who have performed in Washington DC.

It all kicks off with a showcase featuring tenor Matthew Polenzani as he performs alongside pianist Natalia Katykova. The duo will perform music by Francis Poulenc, Charles Ives, and Gerald Finzi.

Streaming Dates: Nov. 30- Dec. 11, 2020

The company will also present a recital featuring bass-baritone Davóne Tines and pianist Adam Nielsen. The program will include music by Franz Schubert and Johannes Brahms, as well as a premiere of new works by Caroline Shaw and Tyshawn Sorey.

Streaming Dates: January 2021

Soprano Lise Davidsen will perform alongside James Bailieu. The duo will perform music by Johannes Brahms, Edvard Grieg, Richard Strauss, Robert Schumann, and Johan Sibelius.

Streaming Dates: February 2021

The company also revealed that there will be other performers announced “on a rolling basis.”
