Concert in Memory of Francisco Casanova Set to Take Place in NYC

Matthew Laifer Artists Management will present a concert in memory of late tenor Francisco Casanova on Dec. 7, 2019 at Christ and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in New York City.

The concert will feature a wide range of artists, many of whom performed with Casanova before his untimely death at age 61. These singers include Gustavo Ahualli, Kristian Benedikt, Maria Brea, Torlef Borsting, Jesus Hernandez, Craig Ketter, Natasha Novitskaia, Joanna Parisi, Alla Perchikova, Elaine Rinaldi, Jacqueline Quirk, Brianne Roney, Deborah Surdi, and Mikhail Svetlov.

Casanova died on Sept. 26 due to health issues. The Dominican tenor enjoyed great international success with such companies as the Metropolitan Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, Berlin State Opera, Teatro Massimo, Opera Orchestra of New York, and Carnegie Hall, among others.

He was a renowned Verdi tenor, singing 22 of the composer’s roles out of a total of 56 leading roles across a wide range of operas.
