MassOpera Announces Major Leadership Change

Jessica Bloch-Moisand is poised to take over as Artistic Director, taking over for Dana Lynne Varga, who is ending her tenure and transitioning to the role of Artistic Advisor.
“All of us at MassOpera thank Dana for her unparalleled vision, commitment to gender parity and equity, and steadfast growth of the company over her nearly twenty years of artistic leadership,” the company said in a social media post. “As Artistic Advisor, Dana will still oversee the artistic vision and growth of the organization, while passing along the responsibilities of day-to-day artistic management to a new leader.”
Bloch-Moisand is the founder and creative producer of the Bloch Performing Arts music studios and its collaborative musical company, West End Lyric.
