Mary Bevan & Sophie Bevan Honored At Queen’s Birthday Honors

Mary Bevan and Sophie Bevan been highlighted at the Queen’s birthday honors.

The two sopranos received the honor of being appointed MBE, alongside conductor Robin Ticciati, Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, who was given the distinction of OBE. Tenor Mark Padmore and composer Jonathan Dov were recognized with a CBE.

Outside the classical realm, Olivia Colman and Elvis Costello received a CBE and OBE. Alfie received the OBE and Joanna MacGregor was appointed CBE.

Kinghthoods were awarded to David Poutney for services to opera; Ian Stoutzker, Founder of Live Music Now; and Dr Stephen Cleobury, for Choral services.

The Queen Honors are awarded on the advice of the Cabinet Office and recipients collect their awards from The Queen or another Member of the Royal Family at an Investiture ceremony.
