
Mary Bevan, Nicky Spence, Carolyn Sampson, Louise Alder Headline Bliss International Song Series 2025

First up is a showcase featuring soprano Louise Alder, tenor Mauro Peter, and pianist Joseph Middleton as they tackle Wolf’s “Italienisches Liederbuch.”
Performance Date: Feb. 6, 2025
Sir Thomas Allen will provide a public masterclass, working with students of the Cambridge University Lieder Scheme.
Performance Date: Feb. 11, 2025
Then comes Carolyn Sampson and Joseph Middleton presenting a CD launch recital that features Schubert’s “Four Seasons.”
Performance Date: March 20, 2025
Huw Montague Rendall and Joseph Middleton present Schubert’s Lieder and Mahler’s “Lieder eines Fahrenden Gesellen.” Closing out the program is Vaughan Williams’ “Songs of Travel.”
Performance Date: May 1, 2025
There will be a Lieder Scheme Showcase featuring such vocal artists as Hugo Williams, Harry Gant, Doraly Gill, Adrianna Forbes-Dorant, and Theo Horch. Joining them are pianists Daniel Blaze, Isaac Chan, Calvin Leung, Eliza Ruffle, and Tingshuo Yang.
Performance Date: May 9, 2025
Closing out the series is Mary Bevan, Nicky Spence, and Joseph Middleton, as they take on works by Noël Coward, Poulenc, Gershwin, Lehmann, Britten, Satie, Messager, Rorem, Quilter, and Walton.
