Marta Gardolińska Extends Contract with Opéra National de Lorraine

Music Director Marta Gardolińska has extended her contract with the Opéra National de Lorraine until the 2025-26 season.

The conductor made her debut with the opera company in 2020 and took the position during the 2021-22 season. She has since led such works as  Zemlinsky’s “Görge le rêveur,” Messager’s “Fortunio,” Paderewski’s “Manru,” Verdi’s “La Traviata” and Haydn’s “La Création.”

Under Gardolińska’s extended contract, she will conduct both symphonic concerts and opera productions each season. She will also continue the company’s outreach activities.

Aside from her work in Lorraine, Gardolińska is Principal Guest Conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona. She also since worked with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, CBSO, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, and Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse.
