Markus Marquardt, Daniel Kirch & Diana Haller Lead Staatsoper Stuttgart Streaming Slate

The Staatsoper Stuttgart has announced that it will stream four operas on its website in February, March, and April 2021. Here is the full slate.

First up is Ravel’s “Verzauberte Welt.” The showcase stars Schorsch Kamerun, Diana Haller, Maria Theresa Ullrich, Carina Schmieger, Claudia Muschio, Linsey Coppens, Jasper Leever, Elliott Carlton Hines, and Charles Sy. Dennis Russell Davies conducts the production by Schorsch Kamerun.

Streaming Dates: Feb. 19- March 5, 2021

Next up is John Adams’ “Nixon in China.” The opera features Jarrett Ott, Michael Mayes, Shigeo Ishino, Ida Ränzlöv, Fiorella Hincapié, Luise von Garnier, Matthias Klink, Katherine Manley, and Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod. André de Ridder conducts the production by Marco Štorman.

Streaming Dates: March 5 – March 19, 2021

The satirical opera “L’amour des trois oranges” by Sergei Prokofiev is up next. The showcase will spotlight Patrick Zielke, Kai Kluge, Stine Marie Fischer, Shigeo Ishino, Daniel Kluge, Johannes Kammler, Michael Ebbecke, Carole Wilson, Aytaj Shikhalizadev, Fiorella Hincapié, Carina Schmieger, Matthew Anchel, and Christopher Sokolowski. Alejo Pérez conducts the production by Axel Ranisch.

Streaming Dates: March 19 – April 2, 2021

Wagner’s “Parsifal” ends the slate. The opera stars Markus Marquardt, Attila Jun, Tobias Schabel, Christiane Libor, Matthias Hölle, Heinz Göhrig, Michael Nagl, Josefin Feiler, Diana Haller, Torsten Hofmann, Moritz Kallenberg, Estelle Kruger, Fiorella Hincapié, Mirella Bunoaica, Aoife Gibney, and Daniel Kirch in the title role. Sylvain Cambreling conducts the production by Calixto Bieito.

Streaming Dates: April 2-16, 2021
