Marjorie Owens, Stuart Skelton, Jane Eaglen Headline Pittsburgh Festival Opera’s ‘Wicked Wagner Weekend’

Pittsburgh Festival Opera in Pennsylvania has announced “Wicked Wagner Weekend,” a digital mini-festival featuring solo and duet performances from nine of Wagner’s operas across three nights.

The festival, which will take place between Oct. 30 through Nov. 1,  will be curated by Wagnerian expert Jane Eaglen, and Artistic Director Marianne Cornetti. The singers who have recorded from around the world include sopranos Marjorie Owens, Hanna Brammer, and Melissa Shippen Burrows; tenors Stuart Skelton, Robert Chafin, and Corey Bix; bass-baritones Brad Garvin, Alex Boyd, and David Crawford.

“Wicked Wagner Weekend” comes in replacement of the final two installments of PFO’s Ring Cycle which was intended to close with a concert performance of excerpts from “Siegfried” and “Götterdämmerung.”
