Marina Rebeka, Yusif Eyvazov, Anita Rachvelishvili Headline Arena di Verona Productions to Be Televised by Rai 3
By Francisco SalazarRai 3 has announced that three operas from the Arena di Verona will be broadcast on television.
A June 25 performance of Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” will be showcased on July 27. The opera stars Sonia Ganassi, Clarissa Leonardi, Murat Karahan, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, and Agostina Smimmero.
That will be followed with an August 3 broadcast of a June 25 performance of Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci.” The cast includes Marina Rebeka, Yusif Eyvazov, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, Riccardo Rados, and Mario Cassi.
Finally on August 10, audiences will get to check out the June 26 performance of Verdi’s “Aida.” Simon Lim, Anita Rachvelishvili, Angela Meade, Jorge de Leòn, Michele Pertusi, and Luca Salsi made up the cast for the iconic work.
The three operas will be presented under the series “La grande opera all’Arena di Verona raccontata da Pippo Baudo e Antonio di Bella” and is a collaboration between Rai and the Arena di Verona.
